PT Church Administrative Assistant

12-16 hrs/wk, Tuesday-Friday

Position Summary:

Forest Hills Covenant Church is seeking a friendly person with strong organizational and administrative skills to support the church’s mission by providing administrative support to pastors, greeting visitors and facilitating key communications.


Primary Duties:

·      Welcome visitors, answer phone, sort and distribute mail

·      Desktop publish bulletin for worship service each week

·      Prepare and send weekly e-mail update

·      Maintain building usage schedule and manage requests for building usage

·      Assist with special events

·      Provide filing and other administrative assistance to Senior Pastor

·      Update church website regularly

·      Other communication and administrative tasks



·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—written, oral, phone

·      Strong computer skills, especially MS Office

·      Able to take initiative, work independently and apply problem-solving skills

·      English fluency

·      Friendly, mature and assertive

·      Detail oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks

·      High school graduate or equivalent; Associate’s degree or above preferred

·      Can enthusiastically support the mission of Forest Hills Covenant Church



·      $10-15/hr doe (or tuition stipend)
